Maple Ridge Farm consists of 160 acres grced by gorgeous old maples and oaks located in Northern Minnesota. It is also home to some of the most beautiful horses in the world. After raising purebred Arabians for several years, we decided to try something a little different. Hence the purchase of CARNIVAL'S LOADED DICE, an outstanding Pinto Saddlebred stallion with an impeccable pedigree. Tall, charismatic, with a refined head, tiny ears, ultra long neck, nice hooky throatlatch and a tremendous shoulder and hip. Dressed in black and white, he was the epitome of everyone's dream. Tragically, we lost him in late 2001. Still a young stallion, he left us with a total of 49 offspring. They are beautiful individuals with superior motion. Every one of them has the same smoothness of body, beautiful hooky neck, big eyes and tractable disposition of their sire. They also think highly of themselves and can really turn on and show. We retained two of his sons. EL NINO NIGHT ,17 hands of black and white elegance, is a Saddlebred colt out of the beautiful black NIGHT PROWLER daughter, NIGHT DANCER. THE DARK DRAGON, also black and white, is a NSH of extreme type. It is our hope that these two, along with the daughters we have retained, will carry on the legacy that DICE started. The continuance of one of the most awesome dynasties in history. We also offer two purebred Arabian stallions that are sabinos. The sabino gene is a pinto gene and a member of the overo family. It is the only pinto gene carried in the Purebred Arabian horses. Horses may carry the gene and not express it. This gene was noted in the horses of Egypt and several bloodlines carry the gene. The markings range from minimum white body markings, moderate white body markings, loud splashy markings all over the body and Maximum expression which is a mostly white horse. Over the years a few Arabians have been born expressing the splashy sabino markings but it was not specifically bred for and was in fact frowned upon. Thankfully times have changed and the sabino gene has gathered an increasing number of admirers. It caught my eye in the form of R KHASPER, a bay purebred Arabian Maximum sabino stallion. There are only two of these stallions in the World at this time. The other is his son, KHOOL INTENTIONS. R KHASPER bred 15 mares for 2004 including daughters of Padron, NV Beau Bey, Cyrk, Thee Desperado and El Saniel. We also have MRF SCANDAL (R KHASPER x ECHO MAGNIFFICOO daughter) who is a moderately marked chestnut sabino stallion. His first foals arrived this spring and are outstanding!!! Our goal is to provide a "colorful" purebred Arabian show horse of exotic beauty and talented, gorgeous Half Arabians, both with live in your tent dispositions. R KHASPER and MRF SCANDAL also offer a great outcross for the Paint and Quarter Horse owners who want to breed Half Arabians without sacrificing color.
